Mirwaiz Paid Glowing Tributes To Jammu Martyrs | KNO

Paying rich tributes to the lakhs of people who were massacred in Jammu on November 6 1947, APHC chairman Mirwaiz Umar Farooq said that the ethnic cleansing of the Muslims of Jammu that took place on that day is an extremely painful chapter in the history of our struggle for freedom and justice He said the gruesome murder of lakhs of members one community to change the demography of the region was an abhorable act and it is a shame that it was done in a systematic and planned manner under the patronage of those in power with impunity. Mirwaiz termed the great sacrifices offered by the lakhs of Muslims in Jammu region as a great asset to the on-going movement of right to self-determination movement. Mirwaiz said the sacrifices offered by the lakhs these people will be written in the J&K’s history in golden letters and these martyrs will always be remembered for their priceless sacrifice for a great and sacred cause. Mirwaiz said the hearts of people of Kashmir and Jammu region especially Chenab and Doda valley beat in unison as our political aspirations are one, a fact which can’t be ignored. APHC chairman said that the people of Jammu and Kashmir are committed to their struggle for the right to self-determination for which both leadership and people of the State have offered and are offering tremendous sacrifices.
